I just want the idea out there that sometime after the Priest run, Ross had an encounter with a genie that went wrong. He probably wished for a more normal life, and that's why he and T'Challa no longer seem to know one another. This may also be the reason the brain aneurysm is no longer mentioned, and why Killmonger was no longer in charge when he showed up again.
