Together - A Wish No One Remembers is a visual novel released in 2020, developed and published by Hangover Cat Purrroduction (who also created Her Lie I Tried To Believe, The Spell, and The Edge Of).

As his whole world crumbles from the rejection by the girl he loves, Lara, Vince cannot begin to fathom ever being in a worse situation. But that’s where he’s wrong. The very next day, a spontaneous, blonde-haired girl named Allison he never met before decides out of the blue to confess her love to him. Torn between his broken heart and his desire to never subject anyone to that kind of suffering, Vince decides, despite his own feelings, to learn more about this mysterious girl—still hoping in the back of his mind that his unrequited love will one day be reciprocated.

Tropes:

  • All Love Is Unrequited: Vince confessed to and was rejected by Lara, but still has feelings for her when Allison asks him out. Allison's even aware of this, but still asks for a chance to change his heart.
  • Best Friend: Vince has two, who comfort/tease him after his heart's broken by Lara: Dan, his roommate, and Sarah, who he's known for five years.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Vince is humbled when he doesn't recognize Allison when she reaches out to him, and Dan and Sarah inform him that she's been in many of the same classes as the three of them for the past three years, as well as (according to Dan) her being voted the second-most beautiful student in a recent poll.
  • Love Confession: Vince gave one to Lara, which she rejected, and apologized for not feeling the same way towards him. Allison then gives one to Vince, which he doesn't quite reciprocate, but doesn't immediately reject either, at least partially due to not wanting someone else to experience the pain he had just felt.
  • Multiple Endings: The story has nine different endings, with the majority of them dependent on whether Vince chooses Lara, Allison, or Sarah.
  • Third-Option Love Interest: Having to choose between Lara and Allison instigates the story's events, but Vince can instead end up with Sarah, one of his Best Friends.
  • Working with the Ex: One of the main reasons Vince is so torn-up by his failed confession is because he and Lara are in the same art classes together, and still have to converse on a regular basis.
