The Ghost of Us is a ghost romance-mystery book and one of the many stories under the Choices: Stories You Play collection. It was released on April 24, 2024 on Early Access and is set to released in June 2024 for all players. It revolves around a female medium helping a ghost solve his/her murder.
The Ghost of Us includes examples of:
- Bad Boss: While investigating Peter Lafferty, Iris learns that he recently fired his secretary just for making a typo.
- Big Bad: Although they haven't been revealed yet, the person who murdered Grey Morrison.
- Character Customization: As per usual, both the main character and the love interest are customizable, though only the love interest's gender but not his/her name (Grey Morrison) can be customized.
- Driving Question: "Who killed Grey Morrison?"
- Hair-Trigger Temper: Peter's accountant mentions that he's developed one of these recently.
- Hello, [Insert Name Here]: As with all Choices characters, you can choose your name. The default name is Iris Travers.
- Tamer and Chaster: Unlike most Choices romance books released in the early-mid 2020s, this one is not rated 17+ (having the "Sexy" tag replaced by the "Romance" tag). To hammer it home further, the romance points (named "Bond" points here) have a heart symbol instead of the flame symbol that is used for "Desire" points in more raunchy Choices books.
- Who Dunnit To Me: The main plot is about Iris (a medium) and Grey (a Friendly Ghost) teaming up to solve the latter's murder in order to help them move on.
