Shall We Date?: My Sweet Prince is a Visual Novel in the Shall We Date? Romance Game series. It was released in English in 2011 for iOS and Android devices. In 2013, the game received a free-to-play/social update under the title Shall We Date?: My Sweet Prince+.

Mai is an ordinary Japanese woman who's vacationing in a foreign country when her luggage and identification are stolen. Soon she finds herself brought before the king, who informs her that the strange bracelet she picked up after the theft belongs to the royal family and is used to select who will inherit the throne - and Mai is accused of stealing it.

After hearing her explain her situation, King Tamir agrees to let the matter slide, provided Mai chooses which of his six sons should receive the bracelet and become the next king. If she refuses or fails, he warns, she'll be sentenced to death for the theft of the bracelet.

Shall We Date?: My Sweet Prince has the following tropes:

  • Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: Melchiorre and Lambert are the blonds, Nagit and probably Chezem are the brunets, and Alvah and Jun are the redheads.
  • Cast Full of Pretty Boys: With so many to choose from and so little time to enjoy them.
  • Featureless Protagonist: Mai is barely shown, even in CGs. The most the player typically sees of her is her hair and a glimpse of her clothes.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: Although "Mai" is the protagonist's default name, the player can change it however they choose.
  • Luminescent Blush: The guy that the player chooses will have this effect at least once.
  • Mama's Baby, Papa's Maybe: In the "Royal Temptation" side story, the player character can cheat on her chosen love interest with one of the other guys. The "Royal Baby" side story then provides an opportunity to call back to this event, casting doubt on the paternity of the player character's pregnancy.
  • Royal Harem: King Tamir has one with 99 women. He initially asked the heroine to be his latest addition. However, Ivan tells her that it was a joke.
  • Sibling Rivalry: Alvah and Jun have a rather adversarial relationship, especially when they start vying for the protagonist's attention.
  • Sibling Triangle: Inevitable when the protagonist is caught between six brothers.
    • In Alvah's route, he and Jun start fighting over the heroine. Jun tries forcing a kiss on her and tries seducing her in his room, but Alvah comes in and stops him both times. Depending on what the player does, she could end up with Alvah.
  • Unwanted Harem: In some routes, multiple brothers will pursue the heroine. Of course the player won't mind if they like the characters.
