Eldarya is an online Visual Novel created by Beemoov. You play as a young woman who magically and mysteriously finds herself in the fantastical land of Eldarya. The main character's name is up to you, though she is officially referred to by two different names: Erika when taking about the in-game character or Guardian when talking about a player's personal avatar. The game is split between two season: "The Origins" and "A New Era."

In "The Origins", Erika steps into a circle of mushrooms during a walk in the woods. The mushrooms turn out to be magical, transporting her to the world of Eldarya, a fantastical land filled with creatures from human myth. However, just like Earth, Eldarya has its fair share of conflicts: the large blue crystal that regulates Maana throughout the land was vandalized a year ago, leaving many of Eldarya's inhabitants weaker or even going mad or becoming extremely aggressive. In addition to their primary purpose of keeping the peace and assisting people, the Guard of El's goal is to restore the crystal to its former glory by finding its fragments. Since Erika is unable to return to Earth, she joins one of the Guard of El's factions and assists them in their quest. During her adventures, she can romance either Ezarel, a sarcastic elf; Nevra, a flirty vampire; Valkyon, a stoic man; and Leiftan, a kindly lorialet. "The Origins" ran from 2016 to 2020, ending with a total of 30 episodes.

In "A New Era", Erika and Leiftan awake within the blue crystal. Seven years have passed after the White Sacrifice and much has changed since they entered the crystal. The Guard of El has seen friends leave and fresh faces join. Unfortunately, Erika can't take the time adjust to all the changes: mysterious happenings have been going on as of late. Companions have been attacking people, wildlife similiar to those on Earth have appeared, and a building resembling Erika's description of her home has appeared in a land named Genkaku. Alongside friends and potential love interests both old and new, Erika will delve into the mysteries behind these happenings. "A New Era" began in 2020.

For the sake of simplicity, the player character will be referred to as Erika and with she/her pronouns.

  • Apparently Human Merfolk: Alajea doesn't quite look human due to her fin ears, but she doesn't look that different from the other residents of El and walks around on two legs due to a potion she takes.
  • Asleep for Days: Erika spends days asleep after her first mission to the Jade Coast. She'll be greeted by whichever main love interest the player has selected as their crush when she wakes up.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Chrome is the youngest of the guard and is prone to acting like a brat.
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: All the guards are associated with a different color: dark purple for Shadow, green for Absynthe, red for Obsidian, and gold for Light.

  • Decoy Damsel: Yvoni acts innocent and scared in order to trick Erika into breaking the seal on her tree.

  • Familiar: The player can keep a cute animal companion that finds items for them whenever they go exploring.
  • Give Me Your Inventory Item: The player often has to collect different items to progress through the plot. These items are Often gotten by going to the right screen or talking to the right person, but other times the items are standard inventory items such as food for your familiar.

  • The Quiet One: Jamon doesn't usually say a lot when he talks.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: Valkyon's companion is a Musarose, a cute mouse creature with a flower for a tail. He dotes on his Companion with no shame whatsoever.

  • Supreme Chef: Erika comes across as an amazing chef because no one else in Eldarya really knows how to cook.

  • Trapped in Another World: Erika is transported to the fantastical Eldarya through a witch's circle. The circle only goes one way and finding other circles who could transport her back is basically impossible.
  • Vampires Are Sex Gods: Nevra's been quite a pain about his vampireness ever since hearing how popular vampires became as a result of Twilight's success.
  • Virtual Paper Doll: The player's avatar can be dressed in a wide array of clothing items, hair styles, and skin tones. The event illustrations will always show the default design for Erika though.
