Dial Town (Full name Dialtown: Phone Dating Sim) is A Visual Novel created by Direct Doggo (The creator of Dayshift At Freddys Series) And sure hits the same absurdly weirdly vibe as the latter.

In a world where all people's AND animals' heads were replaced with mechanical heads of various electric objects, you play as Phonegingi/Typegingi (depending on the head type you choose), a reptile-like humanoid set on finding the right place to lay its eggs. As the only option is the local funfair and it being Valentine's day, "gingi" is set on finding someone who can take on a date to the funfair. The situation gets absurd in many ways, and varies between Date-ables.

Tropes of Dialtown Include:

  • Author Avatar: Nathan Hanover, the man with a violin for a head, is based on the composer of the same name.
  • Dialogue Tree: Being a Visual Novel Dating Simulator, most of the responses to other people's dialogue comes with choices, from Heartfelt, to Ugly, to Sad, to Horny.
  • Happily Adopted: Oliver was abandoned at a young age but later met Mr. Dickens, who was like a father figure to him.
  • Heroic BSoD: Jerry has one in the Bigfoot route when he makes a "Bigfoot isn't real" bet with Phongingi, only for Bigfoot to appear right next to him, as he realizes the loss will likely ruin his life.
  • Hobos: Out of all the characters you might expect to be a hobo, God is certainly one of the last. He created nearly everything in the Dialtown universe, but can't pay the $2 entry fee to the funfair.
  • Imagine Spot: In the end of Randy's routes, at gunpoint, Phonegingi recalls its fulfilled life, only to Randy to doubt it happening and Phonegingi admitting it was imaginary and that its life was shit.
  • Meaningful Background Event: The Dialup, the event in which every person and animal got their heads replaced by objects.
  • Non-Human Head: One of the selling points of this game, EVERYONE and EVERY ANIMAL has a object head, depending on their chrematistics: Men got phones, Women got typewriters, Dogs got gramophones, and so on.
  • Rapid-Fire "No!": Randy has one in his Route when he realizes he talked too much with Phonegingi and is now late to work:
... I'm late for work, aren't I?
... OHNO OHGODOHNO NONONONO-
  • Shrinking Violet: Randy seems to be this due to his low self-esteem personality.
  • Sound-Effect Bleep: The only instance of it in the game is in episode 3, where a stream of slurs gets both its dialogue and sound censored. And it was said by LITTLE BILLY, to show that for him, "Dick" is nothing of profanity.
  • Title Drop: Considering "Dialtown" is the name of the town the game takes place in, there are many instances of this.
