Deiz
is a freeware Visual Novel created by Mike Inel using Ren'Py.
Ceil has had a crush on indie film director Iris ever since he worked with her during her first film, Left with Happiness, something his two best friends, Chamoisee and Cerise, tease him about without end. One day, he is approached by the object of his dreams, who asks him about a ring he kept after working on the movie.
Deiz provides examples of:
- Animal-Eared Headband: Mikado ending have this.
- Butt-Monkey: Ceil, considering quite a few endings have him kidnapped and being sexually taken advantage of.
- Childhood Friends: Ceil and Iris, even though they only remembered each others' nicknames, so they didn't realize it.
- Girl on Girl Is Hot: This is why Ceil just watches from the doorway in the Secret Love ending.
- Guy on Guy Is Hot: The reason for the Secret Film ending. The creator even determined it by a poll!
- Mind Screw: You can eventually pick up a pair of binoculars during one playthrough... and then carry them with you across playthroughs somehow.
- Multiple Endings: It can be finished with 13 different endings.
- Tragic Dream: The black-haired girl wants to experience love in the real world, but she can only ever be a fictional character.
- Trial-and-Error Gameplay: Especially if you're trying to get all the endings. For instance, the difference between Chamoisee consoling you after being rejected by Iris and locking you in his room and deciding to try an "expiriment" with you is how you respond upon first talking to Iris. Particularly egregious in that Chamoisee isn't even present at that decision, so it shouldn't have any effect on his behavior in the first place!
