Beach Bounce is a visual novel published and developed by Dharker Studio, released in August 2015. It is one of their first games set in Paradise Cove.

The story focuses on Tomoyo, a young man whose grandmother Umi is the manager of Beach Bounce (renamed the Blue Ocean in the remakes), a notable resort. While he originally plans to simply spend a summer at the resort, Umi falls ill, leading to the grandson having to prove his worth to potentially inherit the business. Assisting him with this duty are various women he can fall in love with, some of which work at the resort, and others who are a tad more supernatural in nature...

Two sequels to this VN were later released. In Beauty Bounce (Feb. 2017), Tomo learns that the resort's finances are in the red, and must prevent foreclosure while also managing an annual beauty pageant and potentially spending time with the finalists. And in Bunny Bounce (Mar. 2017), Tomo has an accident while on the job, and starts having vivid hallucinations that all the women he works with are dressing much more scandalously than usual.

An Updated Re-release of the original story, Bounce Paradise, was released in March 11, 2022. This was followed by Beauty Paradise, an alternate version of the story replacing the male Tomoyo with a female protagonist named Lea, on May 20, 2022. A combined version, Paradise Girls, has been announced and preview material is available but it does not currently have a set release date.

Tropes:

  • Breakout Character:
    • Yuuki started as one of the multiple girls Tomo could flirt with in the original story. Later, in addition to being the sole love interest in Bunny Bounce, she became the protagonist of various other works set in Paradise Cove, most notably Yuuki's Party Night.
    • Swim Meet is an upcoming entry in the Paradise Cove series that focuses on Rei leading a professional swimming team.
  • Death by Woman Scorned: In the original story, if Tomo starts a relationship with Rei but then cheats on her with Nymph, it will inevitably lead to his death at Rei's hands (with a drowning variant if Tomo's at the pool at the time).
  • Missing Secret: Many of the endings have you fully commit to one partner. However, you can never commit to Sakura (at least, Sakura alone), as she will reject you regardless.
  • Multiple Endings: Each story has a few. Beach has one for each potential love interest, Beauty has ones about if (and how) the resort is saved, and Bunny is about Tomo's relationship with Yuuki, who's treating his health.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: Minami has the power to turn others into merpeople, as seen in her ending in the first game.
  • Self-Censored Release: The Steam releases include suggestive scenes and partially explicit imagery, but are censored in comparison to versions released elsewhere.
  • Succubi and Incubi: Nymph, in the first story, is a succubus.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: Nymph has a red left eye, and a golden right eye, tying into her supernatural nature.
