Z.O.N.A: Shadow of Lemansk is a Post-Apocalyptic, story-driven First-Person Shooter / Survival Horror hybrid developed by AGaming+ for Android Phones, with a gameplay system and background more or less borrowed from Metro 2033.

Set in an alternate timeline, twenty years after a second meltdown occured in Chernobyl in 2014, the entire Chernobyl Exclusion Zone has been sealed off to the public. In the wastelands, the radiation somehow animates the dead and spawns assorted mutant abominations, and you're tasked with evacuating survivors in underground shelters while battling all kinds of monsters in a post-apocalyptic world.

It's also uncharacteristically short for a game of it's type (makes sense, since it's a mobile phone game) - each and every level can be completed in around 8 to 10 minutes, with most online walkthroughs lasting roughly a little over an hour.

I never thought I would remember our life on the surface...

  • Abandoned Mine: The first stage is set in one, inhabited by assorted monsters who chases you as you're assigned to guard the back of a minecart.
  • After the End: Takes place roughly two decades after another meltdown in Chernobyl, circa 2014. The resulting fallout turns what's left of the city into a monster-infested wasteland with pockets of trapped human survivors hiding underground.
  • Blackout Basement: More than one level, like the mining tunnel and winter at night areas, are set in total darkness; with your flashlight providing your only source of illumination. And monsters will periodically appear at random from the darkness.
  • Blue Means Cold: The Chernobyl winter stage set at night, where you traverse a snow-covered outpost filled with zombies, is filtered navy blue. With howling wind in the background.
  • Danger — Thin Ice: One of the stages is set on a frozen pool, with you battling Walkers while the floor audibly cracks under your feet. You're required to find the nearest firm ground as soon as possible without spending too much time walking on ice.
  • Elite Zombie: The Muscular "Walker" zombies who crawls on all fours are far stronger and more durable than their regular counterparts, often charging at you on sight and deals greater damage. They can also withstand extreme temperatures, with some of them appearing nude in the winter stages.
  • Giant Spider: In the stage returning to the mine shafts, where deeper down the tunnels you'll be fighting giant arachnids.
  • Hazmat Suit: Oddly enough, some of the zombie mooks are depicted as wearing radiation suits. They're probably infected before getting into their attire, which stays on post-zombification.
  • The Hero Dies: In the final cutscene, you're killed by a mining tunnel explosion, with your fate revealed when your commander made a speech in your honor before his men.
  • Jump Scare: The game throws this around on a regular basis, due to most stages being set int total (or near-total) darkness with zombies and monsters having the tendency to suddenly leap from nowhere to chew at you. This game is less action-packed and focuses more on the horror elements, after all.
  • Sniper Rifle: The Soviet Dragunov is one of the many firearms you can collect to snipe enemies from a distance.
