Holy crap, dude, you got some...pretty tight bars. Anyways, why are you here?

WARNING: You're fat
-The content warning at the beginning of the original week.

Vs Nonsense is a Friday Night Funkin' mod made by the YouTuber NonsenseHumor. The mod features NonsenseHumor's persona Nonsense going against Boyfriend, who crashes through his wall to force him into rap battling.

The mod can be downloaded on GameBanana here, with the original version (and a demo of the new version) available here.

    Tropes in V2
  • Art Shift: Boyfriend becomes 3D when he does the Fortnite dance.
  • Berserk Button: Never use dead memes around Nonsense. Boyfriend doing a Fortnite dance in 2023 gets him angry in "Context Sensitive".
  • Content Warnings: Nonsensica, when she first appears, quickly states to the player that she's 14.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: In the cutscene before "Context Sensitive", Boyfriend shoots Nonsense in the stomach for just telling him to leave.
  • Friendly Enemy: Unlike Nonsense, Nonsensica doesn't get upset at Boyfriend at any point during her week. She notably lacks a Turns Red phase, unlike Nonsense. Justified in that Boyfriend doesn't do anything to provoke her here.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: Nonsense gains these when he Turns Red in "Newsensical".
  • Lazily Gender-Flipped Name: Nonsense's female counterpart is named Nonsensica.
    Tropes in V1/Classic Week
  • Adaptational Jerkass: In canon, Boyfriend is a well-meaning Fearless Fool that only rap battles people that get between him and his girlfriend. Here, he breaks into Nonsense's house, forces him at gunpoint to rap, shoots him in the stomach when told to get out or that he sucks, and presses his Berserk Button enough to activate his Super Mode.
  • Art Shift: Boyfriend becomes 3D when he does the Fortnite dance.
  • Berserk Button: Never use dead memes around Nonsense. He's perfectly fine with getting shot, but Boyfriend doing a Fortnite dance gets him angry in "Context", and Boyfriend dabbing (in 2021) causes him to activate his Super Mode.
  • Brutal Bonus Level: A non-joke variation of "Nonsense" called "Nonsensical" can be played in Freeplay mode.
  • Comical Overreacting: Boyfriend does a dab during/after "Context", and this ends up being the catalyst that causes Nonsense to go Super Mode. This is especially funny since in the previous cutscene, Nonsense was perfectly fine with getting shot.
  • Content Warnings: One appears right before the first cutscene. All it says is that you're fat.
  • Disproportionate Retribution:
    • In the cutscene before "Context", Boyfriend shoots Nonsense in the stomach, either for just telling him to leave or saying he sucks at rap battling.
    • It makes sense that Nonsense would get angry after being shot. However, he's actually okay with it. What doesn't make sense is the actual reason he gets mad; Boyfriend doing a Fortnite default dance and dabbing in 2021.
  • Easy-Mode Mockery: A new "Baby" difficulty is added in this mod, which removes almost all vocals and notes in the songs and sets the scroll speed ridiculously low. It also disables "Nonsense", having Nonsense say you're not cut out for it before kicking you to the song select.
  • Expy: The week's format has noticeable similarities to another Friday Night Funkin' mod, Vs Skynote , as they both feature an internet persona as the opponent that becomes angry in the second-to-last song (complete with an even-further increase in anger halfway into the song) before taking on a Super Mode with Glowing Eyes of Doom in the final song. The major difference between them is one of them barely knows Boyfriend and Girlfriend, and the other is a Loony Fan of Boyfriend.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: Nonsense gains these when he Turns Red in "Nonsense".
  • Major Injury Underreaction: In the cutscene before "Context", Boyfriend shoots Nonsense right in the stomach. He's perfectly okay with it. Boyfriend default dancing is where he draws the line.
  • Multiple Endings: The cutscenes after each song play out differently depending on your accuracy.
    • Completing songs with less than 75% accuracy results in these cutscenes:
      • Post-Common Sense: Nonsense tells Boyfriend that he sucks, and asks if he wants to go again. Boyfriend beeps for a "Yes".
      • Post-Highlights: Once again, Nonsense says that Boyfriend sucks. Boyfriend is momentarily offended, before saying "No, You", pulling out his gun and shooting Nonsense. Nonsense doesn't mind. Then Boyfriend default dances.
      • Post-Context: Nonsense feels kinda bad for Boyfriend, saying (for the third time now) that he's bad at singing. Boyfriend then dabs (in 2021), which provokes Nonsense into going into god-mode.
    • As for beating songs with more than 75% accuracy:
      • Post-Common Sense: Nonsense compliments Boyfriend on his "tight" bars, before asking him to leave. Boyfriend beeps in refusal.
      • Post-Highlights: Nonsense tells Boyfriend to leave. Boyfriend is temporarily saddened, before saying "NOPE", pulling out his gun and shooting Nonsense. Nonsense doesn't mind. Then Boyfriend defaults dances.
      • Post-Context: Nonsense goes into god-mode.
    • Regardless of accuracy, the cutscenes end the same way. In response to Boyfriend's beep in the post-"Common Sense" cutscene, Nonsense says "of course" in a deadpan tone, implying he expected the answer. After Boyfriend default dances in the post-"Highlights" cutscene, Nonsense gets mad. And in the post-"Context" cutscene, after Nonsense goes god-mode, Boyfriend prepares to shoot him again, but Nonsense steals Boyfriend's gun with an Uno Reverse card, and then proceeds to turn it to ashes with a Sr. Pelo-style scream. He then teleports the arena to space and floats, before commenting on his powers, saying he "didn't know he had one".
  • Turns Red: Parodied. Nonsense takes on a Super Mode in the cutscene before "Nonsense", complete with levitation and Glowing Eyes of Doom, and the song begins with a lengthy section of ultra-fast note spam on his side. Boyfriend then proceeds to beat him with a single note, causing him to explode.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Played for Laughs in the first cutscene, where Boyfriend demands Nonsense to "RAP" in an ultra-deep voice.
  • You Are Fat: The content warning before the mod begins says "You're fat", and that's it.
  • Zero-Effort Boss: "Nonsense" turns out to be this, as Boyfriend defeats Nonsense with a single note.
