A Horde of Alien Locusts, coming from the planet Verminest, attacks the galaxy. As the pilot of the Viper, the last starfighter still able to fight, your only chance to put an end to this invasion is to reach and kill Queen Verminia.
A Shoot 'Em Up by Locomalito, Verminest (or its complete title They came from Verminest) is a Homage to old vertical shmups like Space Invaders or Galaga, and to the old 50s monster-and-aliens movies like Them!. It mainly manifests through its gimmick of being fully in black and white, with two alternative filters: "Old movie" or "3D mode".
Locomalito also made a color version, Verminest '83, but has replaced it by an official arcade version, Death came from Verminest.
