The Sun at Night is a Science Fiction Metroidvania Action Platform Game by Minicore Studios.
The game is set in a world where the Communist regime was renewed by new energy sources that they discovered, lighting a fire under the Communist war regime. With these new energies, Stalin rolled into Paris, and Great Britain and the United States were reduced to rubble by the resulting massive global conflict.
Now, Stalin is dead, but Soviets have overtaken the globe, and the resistance movements formed aren't enough to bring them down. It will take a miracle to bring down this threat.
Luckily, that's just what Earth gets.
Abram Krupin, a leader of one such resistance movement, finds an object that's crashed into Earth from space. Upon reaching the impact site, Abram finds a dog in a high-tech suit. Abram soon learns that this dog is no ordinary Earth canine. This one can speak people speak, and has access to an arsenal of weapons. Abram brings the dog home and gives her the name "Laika".
Now, Laika believs she has what it takes to protect the world from this Soviet threat.
The game was released on Steam for PC on August 1st, 2014.

- Intelligent Gerbil: Laika is an Earth-like dog who can speak people speak.
- La Résistance: Abram is the leader of one.
- Save Point: These are represented by some kind of machine with a large purple electrode sticking out of the top.
- Side View: The game is viewed in this manner.
- Unusual Weapon Mounting: Laika's gun is mounted on her back. Justified, since Laika's an alien dog.
- Uplifted Animal: Laika is a heavily armed cybernetic talking dog from space who aids a rebellion against the Soviet Union.
