The Spirit Mod is a large and popular Game Mod for Terraria, adding a great variety of content such as weapons, bosses and NPCs. The mod contains a quest system with a large number of quests. The mod aims to make the world of Terraria feel more alive, with dozens of music tracks and several ambient weathers being added in the mod.

The mod is available on tModLoader's Steam Workshop.

The Spirit Mod contains examples of:

  • Asteroid Thicket: The mod adds an Asteroid Field biome in space, with many asteroids located next to or even connected to one another.
  • Baguette Beatdown: The Club Sandwich, which is a sandwich that functions as a club.
  • Cooking Mechanics: The mod adds more food to Terraria's already diverse selection, such as fish fingers, baguettes, meatballs and ghost peppers. It also contains candies which only drop during the Halloween seasonal event.
  • Crystal Weapon: Gemstones can be crafted into bows, which fire gemstone arrows. Several of these can be combined to create the Bow of Ornaments, which fires arrows that shatter into gem arrows.
  • Enchanted Forest: The Briar is a cursed forest containing a variety of strange life. The Spirit biome may also count.
  • Fantasy Metals: Unsurprisingly, being a Terraria mod, it contains some, such as Floran, Cryolite and Spirit.
  • Epic Flail: More flails have been added to complement the ones present in the vanilla game.
  • Floating Continent: The Avian Islands and Floating Pagoda float above the world, similarly to the vanilla Floating Islands.
  • Killer Yoyo: Augments vanilla Terraria's selection of yoyos.
  • Multishot: Several bows, such as the Floran Bow, shoot multiple arrows at once.
  • Musical Assassin: The Crystal Windchimes, a magic weapon that launches dangerous musical notes.
  • Optional Boss: None of the bosses added are required to be fought, although they do have loot locked behind them.
  • Shout-Out: Contains several.
    • The Stactus enemies that spawn in the desert are named after and heavily resemble an enemy from Kirby Mass Attack. In previous versions of the mod they were called Pokeys.
    • The Blades of Chaos, a reference to Krato's weapon of the same name from God of War.
    • The Coconut Gun, which references an infamous section of the DK Rap. The tooltip even quotes the song directly!
  • Trick Bullet: Features the Rubber Bullet, which does low damage but high knockback, and the Spectre bullet, which homes in and steals life from enemies.
