Welcome to Anabasis & Co. We are proud to have you in the family, the family of progress.

The Obscura Experiment is a Science Fiction Survival Horror Video Game by Anabasis & Co.

You play as Priya, a scientist working for a ship owned by Anabasis & Co., which is a corporation in the world of the game. You've been called to work one day to repair some damage to a couple of generators. After you've fixed them, you'll need to file the report about it.

Of course, things are never that simple, are they?

Before Priya knows it, she needs to somehow survive against some kind of mobile black hole called The Dark Matter that's wandering all about the facility.

The game was released on March the 7th, 2023.

The Obscura Experiment contains examples of:

  • Big Bad: The Dark Matter, which is a kind of mobile black hole wandering about the ship.
  • Helpless Window Death: Near the start of the game, Priya sees a scientist banging against a window, when the black hole forms behind her and sucks her in.
  • Night-Vision Goggles: Priya's tablet has a night-vision function, which can let her see in the dark.
  • One-Hit-Point Wonder: Priya. If the Dark Matter touches her, it's game over.
  • P.O.V. Cam: The game is viewed through Priya's eyes.
  • Sprint Meter: It appears in the middle of the screen when you start running. It stops draining when you stop running and disappears once it replenishes.
  • Ten-Second Flashlight: Priya's tablet needs to be recharged regularly. Good thing there are plenty of charge stations around.
  • Unrealistic Black Hole: The Dark Matter, which is a small mobile black hole that only sucks in people who get close to it.
  • Voice with an Internet Connection: The Captain, who communicates with Priya via a communicator from her quarters.
  • We Need a Distraction: The Dark Matter is easily distracted by large amounts of energy. Priya can overcharge generators to attract the Dark Matter to it, allowing her to sneak past it.
