What would happen if you took Super Sonic and made it even more powerful?Super Mystic Sonicnote is a modded Sonic Robo Blast 2 character created by Golden Shine
, aimed to be both a new transformation for Sonic and a brand new character you can select as well.
Started out as a more powerful version of Sonic with an advanced gameplay, the character ended up becoming The Scrappy back in the day due to various errors Shine eventually regretted later on, but was thankfully able to bounce back into glory, giving the character a deserved second chance following the release of SRB2 2.2.

This powerful character provides examples of:
- Anti-Frustration Features: It's possible to toggle an option to see every possible move and command SMS can make during specific actions.
- Battle Aura: SMS always haves a pulsing aura around him. His aura also gets surrounded by lightnings when transforming into Hyper Mystic Sonic.
- Difficult, but Awesome: The main concept of Super Mystic Sonic is having a quite complicated moveset, which can take a while to master, but heavily promotes the player.
- Eye Color Change: When transformed into HMS, his eyes turn green.
- Golden Super Mode: His main palette is golden colored. Subverted when turning into HMS, as most of his fur turns white, with only the quills becoming gold.
- Next Tier Power-Up: The main concept of the character is to be a new form of Sonic, giving him an expanded moveset as well.
- Not So Invincible After All: Despite sounding and feeling like an all so powerful being, SMS is actually a Glass Cannon if used as a transformation, taking a whopping 2 hits for the effect to wore off. Subverted when using the non-transformation version of SMS, as he will instead lose rings like normal Sonic.
- Power Makes Your Hair Grow: Transforming into Hyper Mystic Sonic will make the character hair grow.
- Super-Empowering: SMS is able to use an ability called Power Share, which allows any close character to Super transform if they have 50 Rings. This also works with characters that have no Super form.
- Super Mode: When used as a transformation.
- The Chosen One: Only Sonic (and not just Vanilla Sonic, ALL characters that are specifically coded interally as Sonic) can transform into Super Mystic Sonic. On top of that, the transformation is mapped on the Custom Action 3 button, and doesn't require the chaos emeralds to work.
