Video Game / Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (SNES)

Go To

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (not to be confused with the SEGA official episodic game) is a bootleg unlicensed video game for the SNES.

This bootleg provides examples of:

  • Cliffhanger:
    • On some emulators, after four Zones, the SNES game freezes resulting in it being unbeatable.
    • There is no ending!
  • Continuity Cameo:
    • Unfortunately, despite Tails is absent in the SNES game, he makes the cameo in the SNES title screen.
    • Also the same with Luigi, who makes the cameo in the SNES continue and game over.
  • Crossover: Indeed. Obviously, this is a crossover because both Sonic and Mario appear.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: On some emulators, after four Zones, the SNES game freezes resulting in it being unbeatable.
  • Game Mod: This game is actually a ROM hack for another game known as Los Gatos Banditos replacing Speedy Gonzales with Sonic.
  • No Ending: As the screen for it is removed, the ending is completely absent.
  • Platform Game: This game is a platformer, much like most games in the series it's based on.
  • Unlicensed Game: The SNES game is an unlicensed bootleg, being on a console that was around decades before the official Sonic 4.
  • Unwinnable: On some emulators, after four Zones, the SNES game freezes resulting in it being unbeatable.
