Sonic.ERR is a fangame developed by a handful of developers, and is currently in shared ownership between XxSicklyChiixX and NotSoDevy. The focus of the fangame seems to be focused around the Tokyo Toy Show build of Sonic the Hedgehog, with some kind of malicious threat lurking in the game's code that messes things up fast.

Tropes:
- Depending on the Writer: During initial ownership of ERR, the character's original creator stated that the entity was a trapped soul of a former SEGA employee, and as such gave it more demonic traits. More updated (and currently canon) renditions have instead put the ERR entity more in line with a sentient virus eating away at the game's code.
- Random Event: For the third playable character, the selected Sonic Band member is always selected at random on each playthrough of The 1990 Incident.
