Sküljagger: Revolt Of The Westicans is a 1992 Platform Game for the SNES by Realtime Associates.

The game takes place on the island of Westica, where the people have lived in harmony for thousands of years. Until the ruthless Kiltish crew led by Captain Lucius Khan Sküljagger took over and enslaved the populace into mining for Gems. The hero Storm Jaxon steals Skuljagger's magical sword and takes on the crew to free the island from the iron grip of the Kiltish and leads the subtitular revolt against Captain Sküljagger's crew.

You control Storm Jaxon as he battles Sküljagger's henchmen. He can run, jump and use his sword to attack enemies, but Jaxon and also collect bubblegum powerups give him an extra advantage. Allowing him to hover, bounce in a bubble, or spit exploding bubbles. Stay sharp, because Sküljagger is pulling out all the traps to get his sword back.

Another notable feature of the game is an 80-page instruction manual/comic book that tells the backstory of the game, as well as providing tips and secrets on the game.

This game provides examples of:

  • All There in the Manual: The game came with a 80-page comic book which explains the game and its story.
  • Antagonist Title: Sküljagger: Revolt of the Westicans.
  • Bear Trap: One of the obstacles is a self-operating bear trap that chatters and jumps up when Storm gets close to them.
  • Beating A Dead Player: Enemies continue to attack the location where Storm was standing when he died, even though he falls out of the level upon death (and the screen will scroll to follow him unless he's at the bottom of the map).
  • Big Bad: Captain Sküljagger. The leader of the Kiltish Crew.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Crawling bugs and flies are some of your enemies.
  • Bubble Gun: The purple gum (Grape) power up lets Jaxon spit a stream of exploding bubbles.
  • Cool Sword: Jaxon's sword, whom he stole from Captain Sküljagger, kickstarting the games' plot.
  • Everything Trying to Kill You: For some reason, animals like rats and bats don't take the presence of Jaxon lightly.
  • Floating Platforms: Many platforms float mid-air. Some even move back and forth.
  • Gangplank Galleon: Chapter 2-1 takes place on a ship.
  • Lizard Folk: One of the enemy types is a green humanoid lizard wielding a sword.
  • One-Hit-Point Wonder: Jaxon dies in a single hit of damage, unless he has a gem in his inventory.
  • Pirate: The general theme of the game.
  • Rodents of Unusual Size: One of the bosses is a giant rat.
  • Single-Use Shield: The gems protect Storm for one hit, and one hit only.
  • Stalactite Spite: Huskless coconuts fall right when the player gets under them.
  • Treasure Is Bigger in Fiction: Collectable gems are at least the size of Jaxon's head. Gems at the end of the level are the size of his torso.
  • Tropical Island Adventure: Fitting into the games' "pirate theme", the game takes places on a tropical island.
  • Power-Up: Jaxon's bubblegum powers, that reward him with special abilities.
