A long-running, violent, and gore-filled stickman flash game series. The games focuses on the adventures of our main protagonist Vinnie, his partner/love-interest Shorty and later on a former yakuza Kiro. The flash games can be found online at SiftHeads.org.

This game provides examples of:

  • Anachronism Stew: In Sift Heads 0's first mission, set in 1976, an infant Vinnie uses a Desert Eagle to kill his pet cat. The Desert Eagle was first designed in 1979, and it's first variant was produced in 1983.
  • Anti-Hero: Vinnie on his better days, he might not be the most heroic character, but he explicitly takes on criminals that are much worse than him.
  • Badass Biker: Kiro's main mode of transportation is sports bike which fits with his former affiliation as a Yakuza member.
  • Big Bad:
    • Kiro in Sift Heads 5, who is looking to avenge his brother's death in Sift Heads 4 before Vinnie beats him.
    • Alonzo Morelli, mob boss for the Chicago Mafia for Sift Heads World overall, but is given the main focus in Act 1, Act 3, Act 6, and Ultimatum.
  • Cool Car: Vinnie's Shelby GT-500.
    • Vinnie previously drove a Plymouth Hemi'Cuda in Sift Heads 1 before he got the Shelby GT-500.
    • In Sift Heads World - Ultimatum, Vinnie steals a 1971 Dodge Charger and drives it all the way towards the police convoy transporting Kiro to prison.
  • Competitive Balance: In Sift Heads World.
    • Glass Cannon: Vinnie has the highest Accuracy, and is the best overall for "Sniper" missions.
    • Jack of All Stats: Shorty has balanced stats.
    • Stone Wall: Kiro has the highest health, and tends to be better at "Shootout" missions.
  • Final Boss: A human trafficking gang Mook in Sift Heads World: Act 4.
  • Genre Shift: The Assault games is side-scrolling shooter instead of a linear shooter.
  • Gun Porn: All guns in the series are very detailed.
  • He Knows Too Much: Kienji is killed by Yakuza leader Yuuma, because he overheard the Yakuza's negotiation with the Triads, an enemy syndicate.
  • How We Got Here: Sift Heads World: Act 4 opens with Vinnie behind the seat of a military helicopter. After the plane he's chasing is shot out of the sky, the story flashes back to the trio's assassination of a Dirty Cop.
  • Intimate Healing: In Sift Heads 5, Vinnie can make his way back to Shorty to heal up and she makes it explicit that she's healing Vinnie with some benefits.
  • Lady in Red: Shorty is almost always wearing a red dress.
  • Made of Iron: Everyone. To the point where a standard mook in Remasterized can take 5 Desert Eagle shots to the head before dying.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Shorty is explicitly has a lot of sex appeal despite being a stick figure thanks to her Non-Standard Character Design. From her tight fitting red dress that shows off some cleavage and hug her hips tight and he provocative actions and poses she can make throughout the series. In Sift Heads 5 there is a cheat that replaces her sexy red dress with lingerie!
  • No Kill like Overkill: At the end of Sift Heads World: Ultimatum, Vinnie kills Alonzo by emptying an entire Desert Eagle magazine into his head.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Almost every female character has a large bust and a curvy figure for some inexplicable reason....
  • Overdrawn at the Blood Bank: You'll be surprised how much stick figures can bleed in this series.
  • Sibling Team: Kiro and his younger brother Kienji in Sift Heads Renegade 3. The first two levels of that game involve the two taking down a gang as a final test before Kienji is inducted into the ranks of the Yakuza.
  • Updated Re-release: Sift Heads 1 Remasterized
