Saint Seiya: Cosmo Fantasy is a Gacha game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment and Sega, although the former was responsible for fully publishing the game for the Android and IOS phones. The game was released in a few countries, including Japan, note  on January 29, 2016 before it received a worldwide release in 2017. It was announced that the game will be discontinued by July 28, 2022.

The game has no story for players to follow. However, the game allows players to do gacha rolls for various Saints where they are positioned in front, middle or rear positions in a battle.

The game contains examples of:

  • Badass Crew: The Bronze Saints in the prologue chapters when they fight to get to the Gold Saints.
  • Breakout Villain: Shadow Saint, who was previously seen in Saint Seiya Ougon Densetsu, was in the game due to his mysteriousness and his position in said game as the Big Bad. In Cosmo Fantasy, he's given a black armor instead of the original grey armor and is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita.
  • Enemy Mine: You can form a team composed of Saints who are hostile to each other.
  • Massive Multiplayer Crossover: Cosmo Fantasy consists of more than 200 Saints from various parts of the Saint Seiya series from the game to the Ougon Densetsu game.
  • Race Against the Clock: In the Guild's Seven Seas Conquest, the chosen Saints must take out a Gold Saint guarding a giant pillar in a time limit. If the pillar's not taken out, the fight ends.
  • Your Princess Is in Another Castle!: The first few chapters in Story Mode are based on the initial storyline where Seiya and the Bronze Saints try to locate Athena.
