A Sailor Moon Platformer/Action game released for the Game Gear in 1995. Based on the S season of the anime, in this game you have the choice to play as either Usagi/Serena(Sailor Moon), or Chibiusa/Rini(Sailor Minimoon) on a platforming adventure through five distinct levels as they take on the minions of the Death Busters. Usagi has the tougher campaign as enemies take more hits to beat, while Chibiusa's campaign functions as an "Easy Mode" where enemies only require one hit to beat. Sailor Moon however can gather talismans to transform into her Super form, but Minimoon cannot. If the player has a wand in their possession, they can unleash one of their special attacks.

Between levels the players gets access to minigames that reward them with health restores, lives or power ups depending on their success.

This is not to be confused with the other Sailor Moon S game released for consoles, which was a fighting game.


This game has examples of:

  • Amusement Park: The first stage takes place in the Mugen C Park. Watch out for inexplicable falling bricks.
  • Boss Battle:
    • Stage 1: Eudial
    • Stage 2: Mimete
    • Stage 3: Viluy
    • Stage 4: Tellu
    • Stage 5: Cyprine and Pitilol.
  • Bottomless Pits: They're here for whatever reason. Try not to fall into them.
  • Collision Damage: Usually enemies have to actually attack you to do any damage, but there is one bouncing tire enemy (which is really the Daimon Tiren) whose sole attack is crashing into the player.
  • Construction Zone Calamity: The fourth level takes place on an unfinished building. Your heroine has to reach the top and avoid falling off the scaffoldings.
  • Death Throws: Falling into a bottomless pit results in your character doing this. Sailor Moon gets a Sweat Drop while she falls off the screen.
  • Demoted to Extra: The other Sailor Guardians aren't playable in this game, with their roles reduced to explaining minigame rules and even appearing in some of them.
  • Easy-Mode Mockery: Chibiusa/Rini gets an easier game, but she doesn't get her Super Mode, nor does she get to fight the Final Boss.
  • Hearts Are Health: You have a grand total of four, and you lose one every time you get hit. Your health carries over to the next stage, so be careful.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: Getting defeated and losing a life results in your heroine sitting and crying.
  • Magic Skirt: Moon and Minimoon's skirts aren't affected by gravity.
  • Metropolis Level: Level 3 takes place in the Juuban Shopping District.
  • Mini-Game: There are four different minigames to play. The Spinning Wheel where you have to match characters, A "Hide n' Seek" game where the player has to find Tuxedo Mask, A Quiz Game where the player can answer questions pertaining to the anime, and a game where you need to guide the Luna-P between Luna and Artemis without touching either of them and reach the end.
  • School Setting Simulation: The Second Level is the Mugen Academy, where the girls battle Mimete.
  • Spikes of Doom: These appear in the game, and touching them is an instant-kill.
  • Super Mode: Collecting the magical talismans in each round lets Sailor Moon turn into Super Sailor Moon for boss battles, where her attack strength doubles.
  • Sweat Drop: Falling into a pit has Sailor Moon get this as she falls off the screen. Oops.
  • Wolfpack Boss: Some of the boss battle play out like this. With the player ambushed by normal enemies before engaging the boss of the stage.
