Roflcopter is an Android game by wdev that was released in 2014. It resembles Flappy Bird as you have to tap the screen to make the roflcopter go up and not hit buildings or the ground. However, it has many of its own mechanics. Buildings only come from the bottom, but birds will fly above them and also cause the copter to crash. Every tap drains some fuel which you have to refill by collecting LOL scattered in the sky. Collecting OMG makes the roflcopter invincible and lets it get rid of birds.
This game provides examples of:
- Always Night: The game takes place in a city at night. This never changes.
- Big "OMG!": The game's response to reaching over 300m is "OMG!"
- Deadly Walls: Touching just one building's walls crashes the roflcopter.
- Invincibility Power-Up: An OMG turns the roflcopter invincible, gives it unlimited fuel for the effect's duration, and lets it kill birds by touching them. It can still be taken down by hitting a building or the ground, though.
- No Plot? No Problem!: No plot to speak of, in the game or its instructions.
- One-Hit-Point Wonder: One hit is enough to bring the roflcopter crashing down.
- Scoring Points: The number of meters reached acts as a point counter. They go up gradually with distance and by 5 every time you hit a bird.
- Schmuck Bait: There's a chance that a LOL or several/OMG will be placed on the left side of a building, making going after it certain death.
