Project Rap Rabbit is the Working Title for a Rhythm Game from NanaOn-Sha and iNiS. It's about a rabbit named Toto-Maru, who can use the power of rap to defeat the various opponents. Accompanied by his sidekick Otama-Maru, they fight single-mindedness and corruption that plagues the land.

The gameplay uses a three-step structure: Listen to what the opponent says and select key phrases, select the phrase/response type out of four, and copy the beats to deal damage. All of them work and can provide fresh beats/replayability, but some options deal more damage.

Due to its failed Kickstarter, the game has been cancelled for the foreseeable future. See: Kickstarter, Reveal feature, Gameplay concept video.

The concept gameplay video provides examples of:

  • Battle Rapping: The game would have consisted of battles between Toto-Maru and the opponent, where they exchange rap verses and try to outmatch the opponent's.
  • Life Meter: Both Toto-Maru and the opponent have a Swag Gauge that indicates how much damage they can take.
  • Obviously Not Fine: Mamushi tries to say that Toto-Maru's rhymes don't scare him, even when he's clearly tearing up.
  • Rainbow Speak: The words that can be copied said by Mamushi are written in red, while the words he copied are written in yellow.
  • Scoring Points: Copying an opponent's word gives 100 points, while successfully hitting a beat grants 100 points (sometimes more).
  • Snakes Are Sinister: Mamushi and someone next to him are, well, mamushi snakes who are intent on eating Toto-Maru because they like rabbits and he's a trespasser.
  • Tactical Rock–Paper–Scissors: There are four elements assignable to rap verses (Coerce, Joke, Boast, and Laugh) which have varying effects depending on the opponent. Mamushi is weak to bragging and being made fun of, but isn't particularly moved by coercion or humor.
