Pendula Swing is a 2020 point and click adventure game by Valiant Game Studio, set in a fantasy version of the 1920's. The protagonist, Brialynne, is a former hero who has been living in retirement for a number of years. After her magical ax is stolen, she makes a journey into the city of Pendula in order to find it, and discovers the world has changed a lot while she has been away.
Pendula Swing contains examples of:
- Experienced Protagonist: Brialynne, as a former hero, certainly has experience of journeys and adventures, although her previous ones involved a lot more fighting.
- Fantastic Racism: Many species in Pendula face this; the narrative mainly focuses on the oppression of goblins and orcs.
- Wrong Genre Savvy: Brialynne is much more used to the way high fantasy works than the historical fantasy setting of the game.
