Ominous Tales: The Forsaken Isle is a Hidden Object Game developed by Urchin Games on March 27, 2017.
Thirty miles off the coast of England rests a place called the Forsaken Isle, where a once-bustling city is now a den of paranormal activity. You travel there to learn more about it, only to find yourself having to survive a malicious warlock and help a trapped spirit end her eternal torment.
Ominous Tales contains these examples:
- Apocalyptic Log: The captain's note tells of his last moment before being killed by the wolves under Vincent's command.
- Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: With Vincent vanquished, Annabel is finally able to depart into the beyond, hopefully back together with Marcus.
- Barred from the Afterlife: Annabel hasn't been able to move into the beyond because of her tormentor.
- The tormented souls found throughout the game are unable to pass on in peace because of the events of the past.
- Big Bad: Vincent Faulkner
- Driven to Suicide: Annabel, despairing over the torture Vincent inflicted on Marcus and blaming herself for it, resorted to jumping off a cliff to end her life.
- Haunted House: The Faulkner mansion has been haunted for a long time after the events of the past.
- Necromantic: Vincent's goal is to resurrect Annabel from the dead.
- Our Ghosts Are Different: Annabel, Vincent, and Marcus each present themselves differently in terms of personality and reason for haunting.
- Annabel and Marcus share presenting themselves with Fog Feet in Jacob Marley Apparel.
- Vincent is well aware he is a ghost, but he doesn't care.
- Star-Crossed Lovers: Annabel fell in love with Marcus, Vincent's cousin. However, their relationship is what triggered Vincent's wrath and trapped them as ghosts haunting the isle.
- Taken for Granite: The unfortunate fate of the boatman who took you to the island.
- Weaksauce Weakness: Vincent's fatal weakness is wolfsbane.
