It seems my summer vacation's getting crazy!
Nobody May Cry is a Game Mod of the original Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix for the Playstation 2, developed by the Project: Nobody May Cry team.

The mod aims to make Roxas, Sora's Nobody, into a fully playable character, with the catch being the gameplay heavily relying on fast paced combos just like the Devil May Cry series, even including a style meter in the hud.

Roxas gameplay is heavily modified and much faster compared to base Sora gameplay, being able to do quick combos in rapid succession and even cancel them for faster movement.

Outside of the gameplay, the mod is also changing some of the worlds that include Forced Transformation, with Atlantica so far being replaced by the more popular Traverse Town.

Mod is avaible here.

The mod entries can be found here.

This Ssstylish mod contains the following tropes:

  • Mythology Gag:
    • As this mod takes a lot of cues from Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, the Keyblades Roxas gains upon defeating the organization members are now taken from that game.
    • The Light and Dark form will make Roxas play out like he does during the original fight, as he will wear his hood back and dual wield in the same vein and animations. Additionally, as this is Roxas own take of Sora's Limit Form, he's able to use all 4 desperation moves and will require Neoshadows to level up instead of Nobodies.
    • The player can find and equip the infamous stick Roxas handles in a cutscene, and even utilize the joke umbrella weapon as well.
    • Instead of fighting yourself during the initial arrive at The World that Never Was, you'll instead reenact the iconic Another side, another story cutscene, albeit without the help (and later on fight) of Riku. Compared to the Battle of the 1000 Heartless, Roxas will only fight 400 Neoshadows, but is still good enough to let you level up all your forms.
  • Practical Taunt: In this game you have access to a taunt button that will make Roxas say some one-liners. Doing so will refill the drive meter, and will be more effective the higher the style meter is.
Roxas:"Get real, look which one of us is winning."
  • Settle It Without Weapons: The "Bladeless" formnote will make the character create weak ranged pillars of light that can be utilized to hit enemies from afar. Due to limitations related to the base game, Roxas is still forced to equip a Keyblade in order to boost the form.
  • Shout-Out: Roxas can perform a move titled Judgement Cut while being under the Light and Dark form transformation, referencing Vergil infamous move of the same name.
