- Blackout Basement: Some levels require you to navigate a level where the lights are only on for a brief moment before flickering off, giving you a limited view of the level.
- Bottomless Pit: These are in the game so falling off the screen should be avoided.
- Collision Damage: Colliding with enemies is deadly.
- Conspicuous Electric Obstacle: Some of the levels have a peridically discharging electric bolts. A few have cartoonish lightning bolts emitting from the ceiling.
- Dem Bones: Some enemies are basically walking skeletons or floating skulls.
- Directionally Solid Platforms: Moving platforms can be jumped on from below.
- Fireballs: One screen has balls if fire raining down from the ceiling.
- Flame Spewer Obstacle: A few levels have flame spewers on the floor, some that emit flames constantly, others that emit flames periodically.
- Floating Platforms: Has its share. Some are stationary with obstacles, some move pretty fast.
- Goomba Stomp: The blue Ninjish Guys can be beaten by jumping on them.
- Hearts Are Health: Collecting hearts allows you to replenish your health.
- Kill Enemies to Open: Exit in some screens opens only after all the enemies have been killed.
- Lava Pit: One screen has a red pit of lava beneath.
- Life Meter: Located at the bottom of the screen is a line of hearts that represent your health.
- Lock and Key Puzzle: Some levels require you to grab a key to open up the escape door.
- Shout-Out: One enemy in the game is a big brown guy who rolls brown squares at you.
- Smashing Hallway Traps of Doom: A few levels have crushers on chains.
- Springs, Springs Everywhere: There are some boxes with arrows and a plunger on them that will propel you upward should you jump on them.
- Video Game Sliding: You can perform a slide to decrease your collision box.
