"Wash your hands in the blood of many to seize control of Chicago's underworld. It's nothing personal - it's just business."

Mafia, but now it's in first-person.

Mob Enforcer is a gangster-themed FPS made by Touchdown Entertainment using the Lithtech Game Engine.

Set in The Roaring '20s, you're Jimmy "Machine Gun" DeMora, one of Al Capone's best enforcers, tasked with taking out ol Scarface's competition. Which you do, in ten levels set across various locations in Prohibition-Era Chicago as you do battle against cops, rival mobsters, and single-handedly slaughter your way to the highest ranks of the Chicago criminal underworld.

The game received mixed-to-negative reviews upon release. A two-player mode is available for the Xbox.

Mob Enforcer contain examples of:

  • Anti-Hero: The player character, Jimmy, being a mobster and killing machine who leaves behind plenty of dead bodies, including those of policemen just doing their jobs.
  • Assist Character: The final stage have Jimmy and Al Caopne shooting their way out through hordes of gangsters.
  • Body Armor as Hit Points: Jimmy can occasionally collect bulletproof vests after shootouts, which increases his life meter.
  • Cop Killer: Besides rival gangsters, several mooks in the game are policemen sent by the Chicago police department to apprehend Jimmy. Which he repeatedly guns down without batting an eye, and at least one level have him exclusively battling the police.
  • Dirty Cop: Police Chief Shaw, the head of the Chicago police, turns out to be under Al Capone's payroll, with one mission requiring Jimmy to disguise himself as an officer, infiltrate the police station, and retrieve the mob's money from the locker to bribe Shaw.
  • Dressing as the Enemy: One of the later levels requires Jimmy to infiltrate the Chicago police department, where his first objective is obtaining a uniform. It needs to be a clean one, too, so Jimmy couldn't simply kill a random officer in the streets and steal it from him.
  • Informed Location: The game is supposedly set in Chicago during the roaring 20s, but because of the budget the outdoor environments looks pretty much like any generic FPS at the time. You probably couldn't even tell the setting based on any screenshot, though at least the firearms used are period-accurate.
  • Job Title: Jimmy DeMora is the titular Mob Enforcer working for Al Capone in cleaning the streets of Chicago, that you control in a series of levels.
  • Molotov Cocktail: One of the weapons Jimmy can use, either to incinerate enemy gangsters or burn warehouses and shops during raids.
  • Mooks, but no Bosses: The entire game have plenty of mooks, either rival mobsters or policemen, for Jimmy to massacre, but somehow it doesn't have any bosses. Named enemies like the Cenzo brothers and Jimmy Torello are at most mere Elite Mooks.
  • Pipe Pain: Jimmy's default melee weapon is a huge iron pipe. It works surprisingly well for conserving ammo, killing most enemies in just one hit, and the pipe actually becomes bloodied with each use.
  • Shotguns Are Just Better: Jimmy's 12-gauge shotgun, which kills most enemies in a single hit from close range.
  • Sniper Rifle: The M1903 Springfield serves this purpose, given the setting. Jimmy can use it to pluck away at enemies from a distance away.
  • Staircase Tumble: Enemies shot while on top of staircases will automatically roll all the way down, so that Jimmy can obtain their weapons when they hit the bottom.
  • Time Bomb: Shows up in several levels, where Jimmy needs to collect them from enemy armories and plant the bombs in strategic locations before getting out. The resulting explosion will destroy enemy hideouts, factories and warehouses, completing Jimmy's missions. Inverted in the hotel stage however where Jimmy needs to disarm bombs while fending off enemy mooks.
  • Villain in a White Suit: The Cenzo brothers, two mob leaders Jimmy needs to kill at the end of one stage, are dressed entirely in white and attacks Jimmy together. Their mooks wears either black or grey.
