Video Game / King Of The Hat

King of the Hat is a hat-based Platform Fighter where two or more players eliminate each other by throwing hats and stomping onto other hats for a KO. Created by Hyroglyphik Games, the game was released on PC in October 16, 2018 with a Nintendo Switch release somewhere in January 2020.

In a world of Hatlandia, where everyone has their soul trapped in their hats. Their hats are the only means of life, so if crushed they die along with it. Players must either survive by eliminating other players' hats or earn a certain amount of kills to win.

• All There in the Manual: The website provides some info on each characters that weren't present in the game.
• Excuse Plot: Everyone lives and dies by their hats. A Big Bad cat kidnaps Hatlandians for their hats. Go now and fight!
• Goomba Stomp: Your primary means of eliminating players.

• Hat Damage: You can knock off players hat and stomp on them for a KO.

• Level in the Clouds: Cloud City, with a gimmick of respawning balloons.

• Planet of Hats: Literally. Everyone here is born with a hat.

• Slippy-Slidey Ice World: Cole's Place. There's no slippery ice in this stage, however.
