Inked (Alternate Title: Inked: A Tale Of Love) is a Puzzle Game by Somnium Games D.O.O.

The game follows a hero with no name (he left it behind him, the Narrator says) who is completing the final part of his training, and seeing his dear Aiko's latest picture. When they get home, they decide to spend some time outside when a bird with a broken wing comes to them. Not knowing who could have done such a thing, they decide to set out on a journey to find out. Thus begins a journey involving moving boxes, pulling levers, and repainting things elsewhere.

The game was released on February 24th, 2012.

Inked contains examples of:

  • 100% Completion: Getting all of the hidden canvas pictures in each level.
  • Block Puzzle: Expect this type of puzzle a lot in this game.
  • Cope by Creating: The Artist recently lost his wife and fights his grief by drawing. He wants to create a dramatic story, and for that reason subjects the Hero to many hardships.
  • Deliberately Monochrome: The majority of the environments and objects are mostly in white. Though there is SOME colour to indicate things like water. The Artist's hands are two of the few fully-coloured objects in the game.
  • Narrator: One exists in this game telling the story. At first it seems as he's a separate entity from the Artist, because he speaks about the Artist in the third person. However, when things get emotionally heavy, he drops the pretense and starts using the first-person narration.
  • Mad Marble Maze: Some puzzles require rolling a large ball into a hole to open a pathway.
  • No Name Given: The Player Character has no name. He left it behind him, the Narrator says.
  • One-Word Title: Inked. Subverted with its alternate title, though.
  • Rage Against the Author: Not exactly rage, but the Hero defies the Author at the crucial point and makes his own choice.
  • Sadistic Choice: The Hero has to sacrifice some creatures of his world in order to save Aiko.
