Funkin' For Hire is a game mod of Friday Night Funkin' based around the parody series, Sonic for Hire. Initially titled, Vs. Dorkly Sonic, the mod was updated to include more songs and characters.While wandering about, Boyfriend meets Sonic who takes a shine to him and asks him to replace Tails as his sidekick. Insanity ensues shortly after.

Tropes:
- Adapted Out: Girlfriend is completely absent from the mod.
- Art Evolution: When the mod consisted of only "For Hire", Boyfriend just used his sprites from the base game. Following the update, his mouth has been change to show teeth, and he has a more visible chin.
- The Cameo: Soniqua appears in the background of Kerosentinis.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: At the end of Sonuva, Sonic pushes Mario into a pit of spikes, much like he did in "The Fight".
- Promoted to Playable: Sonic becomes the player character for "Dumbassery", as well the entire second week.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Boyfriend up and leaves at the end of "Dumbassery".
- Shout-Out: The D-sides variant of Dorkly Sonic is a purple Mighty the Armadillo, much like the D-sides variant of a certain creepypasta.
