Friday Night Funkin' Secret Histories is a mod for Friday Night Funkin' which is based on Mashed's Secret Histories videos, which are about more twisted takes on various video games. It currently just has a week on Secret History of Sonic and Tails but more are planned.

- And Now for Someone Completely Different: Secret Histories' version of Sonic is the playable character for Confrontation instead of Boyfriend.
- Ax-Crazy: Anyone familiar with Secret History of Sonic and Tails will also know of Tails' insanity, resorting to murder in order to preserve his self-proclaimed position as Sonic's best friend.
- Body Horror: Knuckles has most of his head missing, exposing some of his skull and grey matter, and his poses look less like poses and more like he's about to topple over.
- Crazy-Prepared: Not only does BF have a lot of backup mics, but Tails rigged nearly all of them to explode.
- Hallucinations: Sonic suffers these as a result of stress, per
Word of God. This comes into play a minute into "Confrontation", when Tails gets temporarily replaced by Knuckles' corpse. - Press X to Not Die: Failure to press space when Boyfriend's mic lights up during Red Flag, Deadly Obsession and Dark Secrets will lead to an instant game over with Boyfriend getting blown up leaving only his brains behind.
- Yandere: A non-romantic example for Tails, who will kill anyone who happens to be close to Sonic.
