Fear for Sale is a hidden object game series developed by EleFun Games and published by Big Fish Games from 2010 to 2018.

The series follows the adventures of Emma Roberts, a journalist who specializes in paranormal investigation for Fear for Sale magazine.

    The Mystery of McInroy Manor 
  • Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: After the machine is set to self-destruct, preventing Aggel from gaining any foothold on the mortal realm, the residents of McInroy Manor are finally able to move on.
  • Crusty Caretaker: The Watchman
  • Cute Ghost Girl: Julia, the lord and lady's daughter, certainly is despite her tragedy.
  • Deal with the Devil: In an attempt to bring his wife back, Lord McInroy summoned Aggel with his invention. But the fiend had no intention of doing so, instead killing everyone who lived in the manor.
  • Driven to Suicide: Not willing to go through with giving Aggel a foothold into the mortal realm, Lord McInroy shot himself - but not without cursing Dr. Beck for failing to save his wife.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: Dr. Beck had been living so long because of McInroy's curse inflicted upon him, forcing him to watch the house until the problem can be resolved.

    Sunnyvale Story 
  • Buy Them Off: The jurors, except for one, were bribed into giving out the guilty verdict to Jean.
  • Confessional: A former juror was found trapped in a confessional. She tells Emma she went there to confess her sin in hopes it would cease the hauntings.
  • Mayor Pain: Harold Stern. He even starts off first meeting with refusing Emma access into town and threatening arrest if she persisted.
  • Miscarriage of Justice: The reason Jean haunts all of Sunnyvale is because he was falsely convicted of kidnapping and killing his wife Alice and sentenced to death.
  • Poison Is Evil: Emma finds a bottle of poison at the Ferris wheel, which was used to murder Alice.

  • Cruise Episode: The game starts with Emma boarding a cruise ship.
  • Faking the Dead: Nicholas faked his death in order to enact his plan to trap everyone on the island and gain immortality.
  • Ghost Ship: The S.S. Virginia has gone missing since 1930, resulting in her wandering the sea as a ghost ship.
  • Immortality Seeker: Nicholas trapped everyone on the island so that he can achieve immortality.
  • Island of Mystery: Emma arrives on an island that won't let anybody leave led by Captain Sullivan.
  • The Scapegoat: Dylan was framed for supposedly murdering Nicholas, but in reality, he never killed him, and Nicholas is alive.
  • Year Outside, Hour Inside: When tuning in the TV, Emma finds out to her shock that she had been gone for two weeks when she felt she had been on the ship for two hours.
