It was just an ordinary day of gym class at Fattywood Elementary. Gregory, the class fat kid, was being bullied for his ineptitude at sports, as usual. But then, after being hit with a particularly heavy volley of dodgeballs, something inside his fragile mind snapped. Or perhaps it was just hunger, as he hadn't eaten in over three hours. But anyway, he started eating his fellow classmates in a murderous rampage of gluttony...
Fat Kid is a free game mode for Garry's Mod by Swamp that's been described as a "Infection gamemode variant".
In the gamemode, one player is randomly chosen to become the titular Fat Kid while the rest become Skinny Kids. The Fat Kid can devour any Skinny Kids that come close to him, but he is incredibly slow, taking him a good two minutes or so to reach the end of a map. However, if a Skinny Kid dies by any means, they become a Skeleton, a low health but super fast skeleton with a crowbar.
The Skinny Kids run from the Fat Kid while also breaking through barricades with their crowbars in order to progress through the map, gaining access to new weapons along the way to defend themselves from the Fat Kid and his skeleton minions.

Fat Kid contains examples of:
- Advancing Boss of Doom: The Fat Kid.
- Air-Vent Passageway: Every map has a few small vents scattered around the map that only the skeletons have access to, allowing them to travel a tiny bit faster to an area without having to walk all the way there.
- And Then The Skinny Kid Was A Skeleton: The fate of any Skinny Kids that are eaten by the Fat Kid or die by other means.
- Crowbar Combatant: Both the Skinny Kids (who use it to break down barricades) and the Skeletons (who use it to bash the Skinny Kids' brains in).
- Dem Bones: The Fat Kid's skeleton minions.
- Dodgeball Is Hell: The Skinny Kids can find dodgeballs in certain areas of the map to throw that can knock back the Fat Kid while also instantly killing any skeletons that touch it.
- This is also what caused Gregory to snap and start devouring his classmates.
- Fat Bastard: The Fat Kid is obviously fat, and while he was bullied by his classmates, him deciding to go on a cannibalistic rampage is a bit too much.
- Fragile Speedster: The skeletons are faster than both Skinny Kids and the Fat Kid, but they die very easily.
- Kevlard: The Fat Kid is, well, fat. But he has 999 HP and will need to take a LOT of bullets before he can go down.
- Stripped to the Bone: If the Fat Kid manages to get a hold of a Skinny Kid and devour them, all that will be left will be a skeleton.
- Take That!: Every now and then at the start of the round, the Fat Kid may become a "Fat Autistic Kid", causing his Awesome Face shirt to turn into a "Brony" shirt and replace the skeletons with ponies.
