A video game adaptation of Fandomstuck made by MistiryShak in RPG Maker.
Tropes found in this RPG include:
- Antidote Effect: The Glowstone, which gives your attacks elemental affinity to an element that enemies aren't particularly weak to at the time it's discovered.
- Aren't You Forgetting Someone?: Yume Nikki feels forgotten when Homestuck is introducing the party to Adventure Time.
- Bond Villain Stupidity: Rather than killing Homestuck in the prologue, the yet-to-be-seen villain simply drags him over to the Land of Love and Monsters.
- Book Burning: There's a dungeon where you're trapped in a book, you have to burn down certain sections of the wall to continue in the dungeon. One of the puzzles this leads to is inspired by 1984.
- Broken Record: There's a puzzle in the Monster Lord's Castle in which there's an entire room of chests, and only three of them contain anything. The fake ones start fights, and every single one is followed by Homestuck saying "Fakes...great."
- But Thou Must!: The Monster Lord's Castle has switches to open the gates to the throne area. One of them has an option choice of "No" and "Fuck No", with both causing you to push it anyway.
- Collection Sidequest: The Pages. They are written from the point of view of different characters you meet and are intended to form a story. What that story is about is yet to be seen.
- Covert Pervert: Monster Girl Quest, whose source work is actually pornographic. She tries flirting with Homestuck and stops talking about sex once the reaction is negative.
- Dash Attack:
- Sonic's attacks work like this by default.
- Monster Girl Quest's Demon Decapitation.
- Developer's Room: At the end of every demo version. The content found in each one increases with every update.
- Flunky Boss: Every boss besides the joke bosses have enemies under its command working alongside it.
- Hammerspace: Attacking with weapons during combat is this, for the most part, due to how the battle system operates.
- Improbable Power Discrepancy: For the most part, but painfully averted with the joke boss, the Sunny Fandom, which can be fought as early as finding Creepypasta Fandom, and even earlier in demo versions.
- Inexplicable Treasure Chests: It's somewhat strange how there's chests inside of a book world.
- Magikarp Power:
Word of God states that Yume Nikki becomes very dangerous once she obtains her ultimate weapon, which allows her to attack foes, due to having a wide variety of statuses to inflict on enemies and allies to allow her to adapt to most situations.
- Mechanically Unusual Class: While there is no class system, Yume Nikki is completely unable to attack whatsoever, she gains weapons via story, and her only real use is casting Stoplight on foes.
- Monogender Monsters: All of the monsters in the Land of Love and Monsters are female - in fact, the only male NPC is OFF. Justified in that it's a part of the lore of Monster Girl Quest.
- Monster Allies: Monster Girl Quest, or at least, her skills. She can summon Sylph when using an ability of the same name, and the other Four Spirits - Salamander, Gnome, and Undine - help offscreen.
- Monster Compendium: The Encyclopedia has a section for enemies and bosses. It's complete with elemental weakness, skills, and a bit of useless background.
- Nitro Boost: Harpy Feathers send characters into Hero Mode, which increases the speed of the ATB Bar.
- Non-Elemental: Completely averted. Normal damage is an element in and of itself called "Physical", meaning that all attacks have some form of elemental affinity.
- Only Shop in Town: OFF Fandom in the Land of Love and Monsters. Somewhat Justified by the fact that it's an abandoned portion of town.
- Set Bonus: All of the Artifacts come in sets of four, which have added effects when all equipped at once.
- Shout-Out: A given, but notably, the Library in the Land of Love and Monsters has a different piece of dialogue for each tile on the map used by a bookcase. There's around 20 shout outs to literature, from Harry Potter to Nietzsche.
- Slave Mooks: The Zombies in the Book are actually controlled by Chrome, a Necromancer. In addition, any Chimera enemy counts as this.
- Stock Monsters: Found in the Land of Love and Monsters, mostly because of the source material.
- Summon Magic: The Fraymotifs, while not exclusively summons, will more often than not bring a Fandom to your aid.
