Drunkn Bar Fight (yes, that's how it's spelled) is an indie virtual reality party game developed by The Munky. You're a small, physically unimposing guy in a bar full of stereotypes that are all larger and stronger than you, but you have one advantage: the more you drink, the larger (and stronger) you get.

The game is still in early access, but has received positive reviews for its intuitive controls and simple gameplay.

Drunkn Bar Fight contains examples of:

  • All Asians Know Martial Arts: Inverted. The only clearly Asian bar patron is actually the worst fighter in the room, employing weak slaps and flailing hand gestures (which can still knock you out if they connect) and very slowly telegraphing his attacks.
  • Badass Biker: One of the patrons you end up fighting is a very large, burly biker covered in tattoos and Hell-Bent for Leather. He's one of the toughest fighters in the bar.
  • Bar Brawl: It takes place in a bar, and bottles, billiard balls, and wooden stools can all be used as weapons, and the environment can be damaged by flying projectiles and bodies.
  • Black and Nerdy: One of the patrons is a black man that performs a lot of completely ineffective poses, such as The Karate Kid crane pose or act like he's performing a Kamehameha wave. He also utilizes a spinning backhand and a spinning kick that are flashy, but not very effective, coming across as a guy that thinks video games can teach you to fight.
  • Blood Knight: The premise of the game is that you are actually a blood knight, going into a bar seeking a fist-fight with anyone and everyone. Of course, every single patron in the bar is more than happy to oblige.
  • Booze-Based Buff: One of the game's primary mechanics. Drinking booze will blur your vision slightly, but it also makes your punches land harder and makes you larger, thus extending your reach and height.
  • Bouncer: One of the later opponents you face is the bar's bouncer, who is (not surprisingly) one of the more competent fighters.
  • Destination Defenestration: A well-placed uppercut can send an opponent flying through one of the bar's large picture windows.
  • Escalating Brawl: As you fight, you'll face increasingly difficult opponents. Once you've fought enough, they'll start coming at you in pairs, and eventually you'll end up literally facing everyone in the bar at the same time.
  • Glass Cannon: You. You can throw punches that will send anything from petite women to burly bikers flying across the room, and can beat down an entire bar full of angry patrons, but it only takes a single shot to the head to drop you.
  • Grievous Bottley Harm: Part of the gameplay involves chugging down wine and beer to power up, and you can also hit your opponents with the bottles or even throw them as projectiles.
  • Hit Stop: If an opponent actually lands a shot to your head, the game jumps to a third-person view where you watch your character getting knocked out in slow motion.
  • Kung-Shui: Bar stools and other fragile objects will break if opponents are sent flying into them.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: If you're good at the game, you can deliver this to your opponents. Nothing stops you from kneeling over a downed opponent and pounding on their face, either.
  • Ragdoll Physics: When you knock down an opponent, they will partially ragdoll while trying to retain their balance. You know when you've truly knocked an opponent out because they completely ragdoll for several seconds. Your character will also ragdoll when knocked out, putting you into a third-person perspective. You actually have to reach down, grab your character's head, and pull them back into a standing position in order to recover from the knockout.
  • Would Hit a Girl: At one point, a woman will emerge from the crowd, taunt you, and then start attacking. You can't progress through the game until you attack her. A single hit will make her walk away, but it will also trigger every other man in the bar to come after you at once.
