DogLife is a text-based mobile Life Simulation Game from Candywriter LLC, in which you play as a cat or dog and live out a life from start to finish. It is a spinoff of BitLife.

Available on iOS and Android.

DogLife contains examples of:

  • Abandoned Pet in a Box: A possible origin for your player character.
  • Action Pet: As a dog, it's entirely possible to kill other animals or even humans!
  • Adopt the Food: Downplayed. It's possible to become best friends with a mouse or a bird in the same area as you, even if your kind would normally consider them to be little more than a meal.
  • Apathetic Pet: It's possible to play of one.
  • Bad People Abuse Animals: A cruel owner can make your life miserable. A cruel worker at an animal shelter can be your doom.
  • Eats Babies: It's possible to eat your own offspring, or those of your human owners.
  • Eternal Sexual Freedom: Animals in this game have no sexual taboos, not even against incest. Where this comes into play is that, if you're playing as a pet, then your human owners won't mind you mating with your own offspring.
  • Heroic Pet Story: A few scenarios like this can come up in the game.
    • If you live in a location with multiple animals, it's possible for one of them to attack the other. If you so desire, you can intervene to protect the animal being attacked.
    • If you are a pet, there's one event where a human in the household starts choking. You can potentially save the human's life.
    • Also as a pet, there's an event where a burglar tries to rob your owner. You can scare them away or alert your owner to their presence, possibly saving your owner from being robbed.
  • Mysterious Animal Senses: The Scent Database. If you've sniff another animal their unique scent will be added to your database, and you can use this to keep track of the animal from long distances. Just by sniffing, you can find out where another animal is, if they're still alive, and (if they died) the cause of death and how long ago it was.
  • Pounds Are Animal Prisons: Played very much straight, to the point where it uses many of the prison mechanics (such as escaping and even rioting) that Bitlife uses.
  • Xenofiction: You play as a cat or a dog, and thus see the world from their perspective. You aren't a Funny Animal either - you can't talk or live a human's life, and you only wear clothes if a human dresses you up in them.
