Disney's Aladdin in Nasira's Revenge is a 2001 3D Platformer video game, developed by Argonaut Software for the PlayStation 1 and PC.

It takes place sometime during Aladdin: The Series. Jafar's sister Nasira is planning to resurrect her brother through the use of a powerful spell, which requires multiple powerful relics. In order to prevent Aladdin and his friends from interfering, Nasira infiltrates the palace, kidnaps and imprisons the Sultan and Jasmine, and takes over as ruler of the city, deeming Aladdin a criminal and calling for his arrest.

The game proceeds from there as Aladdin is forced to confront Nasira, rescue his friends and put a stop to her plans.

This game provides examples of:

  • Angsty Surviving Twin: Nasira, who is out for revenge against Aladdin and his friends, and wants to resurrect her brother.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: Getting caught by a guard in Crumbled Palace will not result in losing a life, allowing you to restart safely from the last checkpoint.
  • Bat Out of Hell: Bats show up as enemies in a few areas like the Dungeon.
  • Betting Mini-Game: Collecting Genie Tokens will give you a chance to spin a slot machine after completing a level. You can get extra lives and continues this way.
  • Big Bad: Nasira.
  • Big Fancy Castle: The level Sultan's Palace.
  • Bird People: Present as guards in the Pyramid levels.
  • Bonus Stage: Every level has a bonus stage after which will grant you a Blue Genie Gem if you complete it. Collecting Red Gems in the preceding level will give you more attempts to complete it if you fail.
  • Bottomless Pits: Present in most levels. Falling into one will cost you a life.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Razoul's post-fight dialogue implies that Nasira brainwashed him and the other palace guards somehow.
  • Cobweb Trampoline: There's a level in an oasis where you can use the large webs from the resident large spiders as trampolines. Subverted in the Boss Battle of that level: You fight a colossal spider on a web, and you can't jump nor run on it.
  • Collapsing Ceiling Boss: Razoul's shockwave stomp causes rubble to fall on top on Aladdin, hurting him.
  • Creepy Crows: Crow enemies are present in 'Crumbled Palace'. As you play as Jasmine who has no offensive abilities, they are invincible.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Aladdin is able to defeat the Egyptian god Anubis.
  • Evil Is Hammy: Nasira frequently speaks in a flamboyant manner, especially when things go well for her.
  • Foreshadowing: The Mystic Aladdin meets in the Oasis has a very sinister cobra statue in her tent for some reason. Not hard to figure out she's Nasira in disguise.
  • Food as Bribe: A very fat guard in 'Agrabah 3' can be bribed to let Aladdin pass if you hand him a Cake.
  • Forced Sleep: In 'Dungeon 1', Abu and an NPC concoct a drink spiked with a sleeping potion to give to the guard guarding Aladdin's cell. The guard passes out seconds later, allowing Abu to grab the key to unlock the cell.
  • Getting the Boot: If Jasmine is caught by a guard in 'Crumbled Palace', he will yell 'And stay out!' while tossing her out the palace entrance.
  • Giant Spider: The boss of the Oasis area which guards the Scarab Aladdin needs to access the Cave of Wonders.
  • Golem: Rock golems and lava golems are present as invincible enemies in 'Ancient City 2' and Nasira's Lair respectively.
  • Human Sacrifice: Nasira offered Jasmine to the Egyptian god Anubis as sacrifice. Luckily, Aladdin managed to defeat Anubis.
  • Levels Take Flight:
    • After Aladdin escapes the dungeon, he rides the flying carpet through the palace to find Nasira.
    • 'Cave of Wonders 4' has Aladdin ride the flying carpet to escape the collapsing Cave of Wonders.
    • The boss battle with the Evil Sultan takes place in flight.
  • Lone Wolf Boss: The Arachnid, the boss of the Oasis, guards the scarab beetle artifact needed to enter the Cave of Wonders, but isn't confirmed to be affiliated with Nasira.
  • Magic Carpet: Other than Aladdin's flying carpet, other flying carpets are present as platforms in 'Agrabah 3'.
  • Man-Eating Plant: Present as enemies in 'Ancient City 3'.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: The 4-armed sword-wielding Kali statues of 'Ancient City 2' are among the toughest enemies in the game, taking 5 hits to defeat.
  • Mobile Shrubbery: In 'Crumbled Palace', Jasmine uses a modified large urn as this. Crouching hides you completely. The guards can still recognize you if they touch the urn.
  • Monkey Morality Pose: The totem pose in 'Oasis 2' resembles this.
  • Moon Logic Puzzle: The level 'Oasis 2' has a boulder blocking an entrance, with a nearby NPC mentioning about 'monkeying around'. Near the boulder is a cave entrance to a 3-tiered monkey totem pole. The only way to solve the puzzle is to throw coconuts into the top head, bottom head and middle head in order. Nothing alludes to asking you to throw coconuts into the monkey's mouths nor the order.
  • Ominous Pipe Organ: Present in 'Ancient City 3' where the solution is to copy their tune by stepping on the keys.
  • Our Minotaurs Are Different: Minotaurs are present in the Pyramid levels as stationary guards.
  • Reviving Enemy: The ghoul enemies of 'Ancient City 3' can be knocked out but will stand up shortly after.
  • Roaring Rapids: The final part of 'Oasis 2' has a river that has too strong a current to walk or jump through, and you will have to use turtles as platforms.
  • Sand Worm: Straying too far away from the scarab in the level 'Cave of Wonders 1' will result in you getting instantly killed by a giant sand worm.
  • Shockwave Stomp: Razoul can use this as an attack if you stray far away from him.
  • Slide Level: The second Cave of Wonders level concludes with an ice slide that Aladdin has to carefully navigate.
  • Snake People: Naga-type enemies are found in Nasira's lair that can poison you.
  • Stationary Enemy: Large enemies guard certain areas that are invulnerable head on. The way to defeat them is to stun them with a thrown object and hit them while stunned.
  • Stealth-Based Mission: The level 'Crumbled Palace' has you play as Jasmine in a large urn disguise. She has no offensive abilities and has to rely on the crouch button to hide in the urn to be undetected by the guards.
  • Sword Beam: Aladdin is able to shoot sword fireballs during the carpet flying stages.
  • Temple of Doom: There are two levels in the Cave of Wonders (one with Aladdin, one with Abu) where you are trying to find and free both Genie and the Magic Carpet.
  • Timed Mission: 'Ancient City 1' is a timed mission where you must reach a closing portal to Ancient City before the time runs out.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Abu still thinks it's a good idea to grab a ruby in the Cave of Wonders. You'd think he would have learned after what happened when he did the same thing in the original movie.
  • Volcano Lair: Nasira's lair takes place in a volcano.
  • Wishing Well: Throwing a silver coin (a key item) down the wishing well in 'Agrabah 2' will unlock a new gate each time.
  • You Don't Look Like You: Razoul who is the head guard in the palace, is depicted in this game as having white skin while other iterations of him have tan skin. Possibly justified as the other brainwashed guards have white skin as a side effect.
