Deadtime Stories is a hidden object game developed by I-play and distributed by Big Fish Games, released in 2010.

You pay a visit to the private cemetery called "Everlasting Life", cared for by the mysterious Edward Blackgate. It is explained his cemetery is a place where lost souls are interred, each with their own tales to tell.

From there, you experience the story of New Orleans Voodoo queen Jessie Bodeen, who lived her life as a healer for local African Americans who work as servants in the city. One day, she receives a visit from the notorious Delphine LaLaurie, who requested her services to make another socialite's life a living hell and get her out of the way. This event is what leads to a downward spiral that pushes Jessie to dark resources to satisfy her client, and before long - revenge the moment she is slighted.

Deadtime Stories has examples of stories to tell:

  • Pay Evil unto Evil: To punish LaLaurie for reneging on the deal she had made with her despite Jessie upholding her end of the bargain, Jessie called upon Damballa to avenge her. Madame LaLaurie tries to escape after her house caught fire, but she perished while aboard a ship. However, ten years later, Jessie received her punishment from the Loa for her dealings with LaLaurie when her home caught fire.
  • Poison Is Evil: Jessie used small, non-lethal doses of acotine to make Mrs. Anton sick for several months without outright harming her.
