Closed Faith is a freeware Strategy RPG made by Segawa. It was released the 28th of May 2023.

After being sealed away for 200 years, the God of Wisdom, Abyssliese, wakes up. They meet their loyal and only remaining priest, Theseus.

The reason why Abyssliese and many other gods were sealed away was because of a recent god named Tinirese. With his powers, he made himself the only god to be believed in.

Wanting to stop him, Abyssliese will try to get out of their temple with Theseus, but it will be a long and difficult task, even with the help of the many characters the duo will come across.

The game in Japanese, its original language, can be downloaded here.

Closed Faith contains examples of:

  • Adorable Evil Minions: In the Bonus Room, some hedgehog-like enemies will have a design with apples which can make them look cute, but doesn't stop them from doing damage to your team.
  • A God Is You: Abyssliese, the main character, is the God of Wisdom.
  • Always Check Behind the Chair: During the levels, some items can be found in bags that can go unnoticed if you only focus on the battle.
  • Big Bad: The god Tinirese. He is the reason why Abyssliese and the other gods were put to sleep in the first place. Next, he was the cause of many genocides by imposing human people to believe in him as the only God. Finally, even when Abyssliese is awake, he tries to antagonize them by sending many monsters in their way.
  • Book Ends: The story starts with Lise inside their temple. The story ends when you get out and defeat Tinirese.
  • Character Select Forcing: In bonus quests unlocked after doing three conversations between two specific characters, only the two characters involved will be playable.
  • Cooking Mechanics: In the 2nd Chapter, Tristan will give Abyssliese a book that if given to a character, will teach them how to cook. Some recipes can be done thanks to the ingredients dropped by the defeated demons.
  • Geometric Magic: On some levels, on the floor there are drawn magical and circular seals that can heal or, as seen in the Bonus Room, teleport characters.
  • Multiple Endings: The game contains two endings. One in which Tinirese dies and one in which he doesn't.
  • Official Couple: By the end of the game, Karres and Ellie get engaged and start living together.
  • Physical God: The case for Abyssliese, Yuura, Pico, Tristan, Elitorde and Tinirese.
  • Really 700 Years Old: All of the gods are centuries years old but don't look like it.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: After you beat Tinirese, he will ask Abyssliese to lead his congregation to the right path.
  • Slaying Mantis: The demon that took over Tinirese's body and weakened him is shown to look like a giant praying mantis with wings and two bonus goat legs. It is the final boss of the game.
  • Weapon-Based Characterization: All of the characters have their own weapons that can't be shared with anyone else:
    • Abyssliese uses a sword.
    • Theseus uses a magical staff that heals and attacks.
    • Yuura has a bow.
    • Jig uses an axe.
    • Tristan uses a trident that he can use for close attacks but he can also throw it depending on the trident given to him.
    • Pico uses magical spells with a grimoire. Her attacks can depend on the grimoire.
    • Karres uses a dagger.
    • Ellie doesn't attack but possesses a staff that heals but also debuffs enemies.
    • Istea throws potions at enemies.
    • Tinirese uses a scythe that can have magical spells as well.
