This game provides examples of:
- Affably Evil: Your supervisor Almond is super nice when guiding you through all the steps of preparing pink heart marhsmallows. If you cut your finger off like you’re told to and use it to finish preparing the marshmallows, she notices that you look ill, tells you to take the rest of the day off, and cheerfully tells you not to worry, as you’ll be able to start again tomorrow. After all, you’ve still got nine more fingers to donate!
- all lowercase letters: The title of the game is in lowercase.
- Dissonant Serenity: Almond always has a gentle smile on her face, even when she's telling you to cut your finger off to use in the marshmallow mixture.
- Extreme Doormat: You can cut your finger off and use it as an ingredient in preparing a tray of marshmallows, just because your supervisor at your new job told you to.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: When Almond gives you a knife to cut your finger off, you can use it to stab her instead.
- Fingore: After going through several of the steps in making the marshmallows, Almond hands you a knife and tells you to cut off your finger, as it's going to be used as the final ingredient.

- Here We Go Again!: If you cut off your finger and add it to the marshmallow mixture, the game ends with Almond cheerfully telling you to come back tomorrow after you feel better, so you can make more marshmallows.
- I'm a Humanitarian: The pink heart marshmallows are made using severed human fingers, meaning anyone who's ever eaten them is a cannibal. And they're apparently the company's most popular product!
- Interface Screw: If you choose to cut your finger off, your uninjured hand will start trembling.
- Killed Mid-Sentence: If you choose to stab Almond with the knife, she (presumably) dies in the middle of yelling at you for being a bad employee and not following the directions you were given.
- Minimalist Cast: Since the game is so short, the only characters in it are you and Almond, your supervisor.
- Powered by a Forsaken Child: The pink heart marshmallows get their color from the severed fingers of employees.
- Psycho Pink: The pretty pink color of the marshmallows doesn't come from a food dye as expected, but human blood.
- Stealth Pun: It's a game about making candy that can be finished in less than two minutes. One could say it's a bite-sized game.
- Sudden Soundtrack Stop: The background music abruptly stops if you use the knife Almond gives you to stab her.
- Suspiciously Specific Denial: The description of the game reads, in its entirety, “A perfectly normal cooking game.”
- Sweets of Temptation: You are playing a worker who has started a job at a candy factory. Your supervisor, Almond, is very friendly as she walks you through all the steps of making pink heart marshmallows, up until you find out that the cooking process requires you to cut off your finger and blend it into the mixture.
