The perfect game for those who want to build a house, from the ground up, one brick at a time.
Builder Simulator is a construction simulator game developed and published by Live Motion Games and released in June 2022 on Steam. In the game the player is an individual that wishes to construct their own house. Getting the aid of a friendly helper, they learn the steps to build a house step-by-step before they are ultimately thrust out to build their own house.

The game also had a Wide-Open Sandbox in the form of Hard Mode, where the player does not begin with the tutorial sections and instead begins with the main construction. The game also features a community where players can upload their constructed house, and even requests from other players to build a house to specifications they've set.

This game builds the following tropes:

  • Deadpan Snarker: Bill Derr can crack quite a number of jokes based on how well the player performs during the tutorials.
  • Difficulty Levels: The game features an Easy Mode and a Hard Mode. The Hard Mode in this game has no tutorials and allows the player to skip right to house building.
  • Level Editor: The game's community allows players to upload plans for a house they wish to see built, and allows other players to actually build the house.
  • Meaningful Name: The name of your robot helper in the tutorial sections is Bill Der.
  • Robot Buddy: Bill Derr is the player's robot teach during the tutorials.
  • Wide-Open Sandbox: Hard Mode skips the tutorial section and allows the player to simply begin house construction.
