In 1988, the company Color Dreams was formed, who specialized in developing games for Nintendo Entertainment System but without permission from Nintendo. Faced with the prospect of legal action, the company changed their name to Wisdom Tree in 1990 and switched over to developing only video games based off The Bible and selling them at Christian bookstores. The first of these games was Bible Adventures. Released in 1991, the game is a compilation of three games all based off of stories from the Old testament.

In Noah's Ark, the player takes the role of Noah who must gather animals and food to place them on the ark. In Baby Moses, the player plays as Miriam and must carry Baby Moses from one end of the stage to another. Finally, in David and Goliath, the player plays as David and must collect sheep scattered throughout the stage before training up for the fight with Goliath himself.

Tropes contained across the games:

  • Action Mom: Miriam carries Moses across the Egyptian Desert on her own, avoiding enemies and fighting the guards along the way.
  • As the Good Book Says...: Being a Christain video game, Bible verses appear to introduce each of the game, as well as any time you collect a health power-up.
  • Blackout Basement: The final stage of Noah's Ark takes place at night, and the entire screen will go dark unless Noah holds on to a firefly in a jar. Otherwise, the only visibility will come from periodic lightning strikes.
  • Collect-a-Thon Platformer: Noah's Ark is centered around collecting animals scattered throughout the stages and carrying them to the Ark.
  • Cool Old Guy: Noah. In Noah's Ark he is able to heft most of the animals over his head with zero effort, and zero fight from the animals.
  • Cut and Paste Environments: The levels of all three games all look the same with no real variation.
  • Disc-One Nuke: After a few levels of David and Goliath, David obtains the sling and can use it to fight predators on screen.
  • Escort Mission: In Baby Moses You play as Moses' mother and have to carry him across the desert while avoiding enemies. You cannot clear the levels unless Moses makes it to the end with you.
  • Fake Difficulty: All three games have rather slippery controls.
  • Giant Spider: Spiders appear as enemies in Baby Moses.
  • Lost Woods: Most of the settings of Noah's Ark and David & Goliath.
  • Mook Bouncer: Certain stages contain bird enemies that pick up your character and carry them up to the sky before dropping them. This can be particularly devastating in Baby Moses, as it's very easy to lose Moses when this happens.
  • Real Is Brown: Most of Noah's Ark and David & Goliath take place in forests, leaving only green grass and forest canopies in a sea of brown wood.
  • Shifting Sand Land: Baby Moses takes place in the deserts of Egypt.
  • Solid Clouds: Clouds can be used as platforms in Baby Moses, allowing the player to traverse high above the rest of the stage.
  • Super Drowning Skills: Falling the water is an instant death.
  • Video Game Cruelty Punishment: It's entirely possible to throw Baby Moses into the Nile River, but the stages cannot be cleared without him, so doing so renders them Unwinnable.
  • Would Hurt a Child: The guards have no problem picking up Baby Moses and throwing him into the Nile River.
