Doing the dirty work.

Anthill is a Real-Time Strategy game loosely based off the behavior of ants. The goal of the game is simple, to protect your anthill from other insects.

This game provides examples of:

  • Ant War: Rival anthills show up in "The Expanse".
  • Anti-Air: Anti-Aircraft Bugs are enemies that are capable of attacking your Bomber ants, to great affect. Thankfully though they're incapable of attacking your other ants.
  • Death from Above: The Bomber ants as the name would suggest drop bombs on their targets.
  • Death of a Thousand Cuts: It ultimately takes a army of ants to kill most of the larger enemies in the game; like the Super Beetle, since a single ant isn't capable of doing enough damage to them before they themselves are usually killed.
  • Eating the Enemy: Many of the other insects you kill will leave behind a corpse, which can be taken back to your anthill for food.
  • Escort Mission: A major part of the game involves taking food back to the anthill; which is required to get more ants, and gems which improve you score.
  • Human Resources: Doubles as a I'm a Humanitarian example. Once the Worker ants are fully upgraded making there be a 50% chance that a killed ant will leave behind a corpse which can then be taken for food or recycled as the upgrades description says.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: See Human Resources above.
  • Insect Queen: The queen of your colony is as to be expected treated like royalty by the other ants.
  • Strong Ants: Downplayed, larger enemies are broken up into small pieces before being taken back to your anthill.
