All Is Dust is a freeware Horror Game by Mannequin Games LLC.

The year is 1928, and America is in the middle of the Dust Bowl. Farmers can't grow their crops, there's no water to drink, and good luck trying to breathe the air. Thomas Joad is one such farmer, like his father and his grandfather before him. Living in the Dust Bowl has made life difficult for him and his daughter, Patricia.

One night, he spies a bright teal light outside his home. Taking up his lantern, he decides to follow it. What follows leads him on the scariest event of his life.

The game was released on June the 26th, 2015 for free on Steam.

All Is Dust contains examples of:

  • All Just a Dream: The ending cutscene shows the aftermath of the car crash at the beginning of the game, implying that the events of the game were all this.
  • Can't Move While Being Watched: The creatures stalking you behave in this manner.
  • Character Narrator: Thomas Joad narrates what happens in the game during cutscenes.
  • Creepy Long Arms: The mysterious red beings that you see around the farm have long, thin arms that drag on the ground.
  • Down on the Farm: The game is set on the Joad farm.
  • Exorcist Head: The red beings' heads will turn in every direction you go without their bodies moving, so expect them to look at you when you're standing behind them.
  • First-Person Ghost: Thomas. All you ever see of him is his hand.
  • Flash of Pain: Whenever you take damage, red fills the sides of the screen.
  • Infinite Flashlight: Your lantern never seems to need to be lit back up again.
  • P.O.V. Cam: The game world is viewed through Tomas' eyes.
  • Sigil Spam: Get used to the sight of a drawing of a red circle containing an inverted cross with a triangle pointed down on it. You'll see it a lot on the farm.
