The Lake Walk

"Salvadori". Vera Miligan teaches Oliver, Nanao, and Chela a technique for walking on water, which involves propelling mana out the souls of the feet. Nanao at first fails miserably, but Oliver gets it first try (recalling his late mother Chloe Halford performing it for him as a child), then helps Nanao get it right, with Nanao evidently motivated to succeed by her desire to be near him. Chela quickly follows them, with Miligan looking pleased as punch at their success.
