Schweinfurt-Regensburg Raid

On their way to bomb an aircraft production plant in Germany, the 100th Bomb Group are intercepted by dozens of Luftwaffe fighters, forcing the bombers and their crews into a battle for survival.



Of particular note are the B-17's twelve .50 caliber guns, capable of taking out German fighters in a few bursts. Additionally, the rear gunners, navigators, and bombardiers of each B-17 are shown in action, with the latter two acting as gunners themselves in this situation.
