The Armed forces of Belarus.
Compared to many of the other former Soviet republics, Belarus stands out as a true leftover from the Cold War. It has been led by an authoritarian leader named Alexander Lukashenko (who was once called "Europe's last dictator") since independence. Lukashenko has kept many of the old Soviet systems in place, he even still calls his State Sec the KGB. So naturally the Belarusian military is loaded with Soviet made gear, vehicles (this includes the aforementioned BTRs), and weapons. Present day Russia, which is Belarus's strongest ally, also has provided additional support over the years.
The military currently consists of the Ground Forces and the Air Force. As a landlocked country, Belarus has no navy. It also has a number of Internal Troops which were initially recruited from ex-Soviet Internal forces to police the country.
