• Fan Translation: A full English fan translation for the third game was released in July 2022.
• What Could Have Been: Disaster Report 4 was originally intended to be a PlayStation 3 game. The game itself almost became this when Irem cancelled it after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake in Japan. This, combined with other cancellations and Irem leaving the gaming industry led to the former developers forming their own company, Granzella, which acquired the rights of this series and R-Type from Irem.
