Trivia / Zeroman

Go To

  • Died During Production: Leslie Nielsen died of complications from pneumonia in November 2010, leaving the supposed second season of the show cancelled.
  • Billing Displacement: As seen on the main page, most pressings of the complete series DVD only have Ryan Reynolds' name on the front cover, and not Leslie Nielsen's. Oddly, the character Ryan portrayed isn't even pictured on the front!
  • Celebrity Voice Actor: Leslie Nielsen as the voice of Les Mutton/Zeroman, as well as hockey personalities Don Cherry and Ron MacLean as Don and Ron.
  • The Danza:
    • Rusty's henchman, Don and Ron, are voiced by Don Cherry and Ron MacLean, the very men they're modeled after.
    • There's also Leslie "Les" Mutton, who's voiced by Leslie Nielsen.
  • No Export for You: The series has never aired in the United States.
  • Screwed by the Network: Teletoon gave very little attention to the series, airing it in obscure timeslots with little advertising, as they were more interested in promoting other shows at the time, particularly 6teen.
  • What Could Have Been: A second season of Zeroman was planned, but they were ended due Teletoon deciding to put more focus on promoting other shows from around the same time, namely 6teen. The death of Leslie Nielsen a few years later pretty much proved the nail in the coffin afterwards.
  • Write What You Know: The idea behind Les' superhero vehicle being a Vespa motorcycle came from series concept artist Andrew King, who actually drove one at the time.
